The Aquios® salt free water softener / filtration cartridge is the first all-in-one combination water filtration and water conditioning filter for the residential market. 

The carbon block filter is rated at 5 microns, is designed to reduce chlorine taste and odor and utilizes a natural, scale reduction media that will prevent harmful limescale and iron stain from forming while also removing existing scale buildup.  Our scale reduction media sequesters hard water minerals such as calcium, iron and manganese and prevents them from being able to create scale. It also will prevent corrosion of pipes and other metalic surfaces.  All without removing healthy, beneficial minerals from your water and without the use of salt. 

Our scale reduction media utilizes glassy polyphosphates that have been proven to be effective in both eliminating and reducing existing scale build-up on fixtures, pipes and appliances. The benefit, an environmentally friendly, salt free solution that keeps new scale and calcium deposits from forming on your pipes, appliance and fixtures, removes existing scale, and filters your water.

The Aquios® filter is rated for 3 to 6 months. It is recommended that the filter be replaced every 3-6 months for a typical family of four.
