The Aquios® ScalePlus™ water heater scale reduction cartridge is our salt-free water conditioing cartridge for our ScalePlus Water Heater System. The cartridge uses a 5 micron polypropylene filtration medium combined with our proprietary scale reduction media to prevent, reduce an remove lime-scale accumulation on heating elements in your tankless and traditional water heaters.

The Aquios® ScalePlus™ water heater scale reduction cartridge is designed specifically for both tankless water heaters and traditional water heaters..
The cartridge uses our proprietry scale reduction media to prevent the accumulation of lime-scale and other hard water scale on your water heater's heating element, prevents corrosion and includes 5 micron filtration to remove dirt, sand, silt, grit and other particulate from building up in your tank. Our scale reduction media sequesters hard water minerals such as calcium, iron and manganese and prevents them from being able to create scale. It also will prevent corrosion of pipes and other metalic surfaces. All without removing healthy, beneficial minerals from your water and without the use of salt.
Our scale reduction media utilizes glassy polyphosphates that have been proven to be effective in both eliminating and reducing existing scale build-up on fixtures, pipes and appliances. The benefit, an environmentally friendly, salt free solution that keeps new scale and calcium deposits from forming on your pipes, appliance and fixtures, removes existing scale, and filters your water.
The Aquios® filter is rated for up to 6 months. For best results, it is recommended that the filter be replaced every 6 months.
